Think about the last time you didn’t do something you were supposed to do. Most likely the reason it didn’t get done was not that you couldn’t do it, but that you didn’t feel like it.
Think about these words and what happens in your life when you use them. Like attracts like so if there is something out there that you want but you are looking at what you have to do to get it and thinking “I don’t feel like it”, you are really saying “I don’t want that.” How many times is that really true? Almost never. Why would we waste time desiring something that we don’t feel like? It sounds ridiculous but we do it all the time when we procrastinate.
Relax. I am here to tell you that laziness is NOT the problem. It’s not even procrastination or a lack of focus. In fact, you definitely ARE focused on something, just in a counteractive and downright destructive way. The nature of your thoughts are the only obstacle here–not laziness, or lack of drive or ambition. If you don’t feel like doing whatever you need to do to have what you want, then feeling that way is telling you that something in your thinking needs adjustment. You must first confirm that the desire is truly a desire of yours. If it is so, then you must adjust your thinking so that you CAN feel like the desire, and take the actions necessary to attract them. “Feeling like it” is part of the ACTION needed to manifest.
Anytime you catch yourself saying, “I don’t feel like it”, STOP. That thought is a creation and because a powerful feeling firmly attached to the thought, continuing along those lines could jeopardize the whole process of manifesting for you by attracting more thoughts and feelings just like it, and creating a big(ger) mess in your experience. That’s the way this stuff works.
How do you change it? There really is nothing different to do but think and feel the right way. The right way is the way that puts you in that feel-good, feel-like-it place. Then you will attract more thoughts and feelings just like those, and create wonderful things in your experience. That’s the way this stuff works too!
The simplest way to start actually is to affirm it. TELL YOURSELF THAT YOU FEEL LIKE IT! Say to yourself right now, in as excited a tone as you can muster, “Yes I do feel like doing this!” Now, you might not feel or believe it at first, but keep going. Push yourself into that feeling place one affirmation at time. You must rouse up within yourself a genuine excitement for these things.
Say, “I am excited about doing this!”
Say, “I can’t wait to start doing this!”
Say, “I can’t wait to finish so I can move on to the next thing!”
Say, “I will feel so great doing this!”
Now, here’s the wonderful thing about the mind. You may start out thinking these thoughts, and saying these things out loud, and feel like it’s bull, and you feel a little awkward doing it. But this is a process to raise your frequency. We don’t leap from zero to 60 on the emotional scale. Every thought, every affirmation, builds upon itself in the mind. Each thought has an energy to it that creates more like thoughts. So, if you persist in these thoughts, and you continue to affirm these feelings, then no matter how it feels at first you WILL begin to draw in more thoughts like them. You will begin to feel differently. Once the nature of your thoughts shift into alignment, your feelings follow and you will begin to truly feel the way you need to feel to move forward. You will feel it the moment it switches on for you. Don’t walk away from this process until that happens.
Once it does happen, and it will, ACT IMMEDIATELY. Do whatever it is you didn’t feel like doing before because guess what….now you feel like it! Now you not only desire the thing, you want take action and do the doing to get it. If you act from within that feel-good, feel-like-it place, the doing will be easy and enjoyable. You will later wonder what the big deal was in the first place and why you waited so long. This will confirm to you just how powerful and in control you are. Once you grasp that you can literally become unstoppable in your doing, and in your manifesting.
Getting to that feel-good, feel-like-it place is a challenge, and often the only challenge we truly face that slows us down the most, or halts us in our tracks the longest. But if you conquer this process, and learn to put the things you want into the feel-good, feel-like-it emotional category, you will have no reason to hesitate or procrastinate on taking inspired action. And once you hold the manifested jewel in your hand, you may even end up reflecting that the ACTION was the easiest part!
